Its FRIDAY! Which means tomorrow is Saturday and I am heading down to L.A. for the CHA trade show. CHA is the Craft and Hobby Association, and is the professional group that all the scrappy/crafty companies belong to. Twice a year they have a trade show showcasing allllllllll their new goodies that they are getting set to release. All the new paper lines and accessories, machines, tools- EVERYTHING we cant live wihtout ;)
Most people don't get to go to CHA because its only for retailers. There isnt sheets of paper on shelves to buy or jars of flowers ready to jump into your shopping cart- its all about ordering mass quantities of new awesome product for your retail store. HOWEVER- I am lucky enough this year to have a friend "in the biz" who was headed to CHA and was kind enough to let me tag along! EEEEEEEE! I am so excited to see all my favorite companies NEW STUFF!
Listen to me rambling... I got sidetracked- sorry! The real reason for this post is to leave you with a little crafty goodness while I head off for a weekend of crafty amazingness :)
I worked this week on some Valentine's Day decor for around the house. I love Valentine's Day. And since my kids are old enough to catch on to the holidays now- I figure I could dress up our home a little with some seasonal crafts.
Let me pause right here and say that NONE of these crafts would have been possible with out my Cricut. I love it. thats all. Back to craftiness
First up- my fan turned mobile
Totally simple- I just cut a ton of hearts on the cricut and made sure there was a match for each one. Then laid a ribbon through the middle and stuck the pairs together. Same thing with the bottom pieces, just different cuts.
Next up- LOVE banner. This is the 3rd banner I have made recently and I am really loving them!!
and my third and final project for you- these little guys. Several months ago I spray painted these terracotta pots. And then they sat. And sat. Finally today I made a few cricut cuts, punched out some grass, and stuck some floral foam inside. Voila!!
This is where they ended up living- on the high window in the living room. (notice the gorgeous blue sky outside? we have had SPECTACULAR weather lately.)
So there ya go! Enjoy the craftiness and enjoy the weekend and Im off to LA!!!!
