In my house I have a very large, very empty, wall. Its in my dinning room, but the dinning room is spacious and opens to the kitchen. I decided long ago that I wanted to do a gallery wall and am finally starting to put it together. Wow. I had no idea how hard this was going to be! Seriously. I have paper of various photo sizes taped to my wall. The configuration, number of pictures, and the sizes and orientation of the frames, change daily. Sometimes multiple times a day.
I have looked and looked and looked at pictures online of gallery walls. I am inspired- but really just need to sit down and pick out the pictures I want to use, have them printed, and find frames. I think it will be much easier to figure out a layout for them, when I have them in my sight. See- I don't actually have any of the pictures printed and framed. Well, I do now. I have 3. But the other ones are a mystery. On one hand- this is fabulous because I'm not bound by pre-existing frames/sizes/orientations. On the other hand- it leaves FAAAAAAAAAAR too many options open, and I am in overwhelm!
Do you have a gallery wall in your house? How did you design the lay out?
