Im pretty sure I have mentioned Pinterest on here once or twice. And if I havent, Im guessing you have heard of it somewhere. (if not, Ill do a post about it another time). In the weeks leading up to 4th of July, there were TONS of patriotic crafts, food, and decor floating around pinterest (and the rest of the bloggy world). These strawberries caught my eye, and I decided I needed to make them for the party.
It was totally easy, but I have no pictures of the process. of course. I used Wilton Candy Melts and blue decorating sugar, both of which I got at Michael's with a coupon.
I dipped in chocolate, waited till the excess ran back into the bowl, then dipped the tip in the blue sugar. I turned this pile of red deliciousness-
Into a tray of pretty patriotic berries
Not quite as pretty as the original, but I was totally thrilled with them as a first time project, and the family loved them!
