Hi.

Earlier tonight my phone alerted me that I had a new text message. I picked it up and discovered it was from a bloggy friend. The text was simple-

"you havent posted on your blog since july 26th. lol".

crap. I know. I have been meaning to! I swear! But we have been busy, and lazy. and busy! and a little more lazy.

What in the world have I been doing???

Well... all those 4th of July posts we per-scheduled to post while we were in Minnesota for a week visiting family. It was hot and humid and miserable- but we had SUCH a great time! My boys got to meet and play with their cousins for the first time (well- my cousins kids, whatever that makes them). It was both of the boys first plane ride. Well, not Monkey's first- but the first he remembers-

We had a second go round of fireworks-

and went to the Mall of America-
they were TOTALLY overwhelmed by that. Especially since our ghetto-fab mall only has like 5 stores in it. They had never seen ANYTHING remotely close to the Mega Mall.

After Minnesota, we hung around home for a while. I had a birthday, shot 2 more weddings, got a new oven, ordered (and STILL havent gotten) a new couch, my dad and step-mom were here visiting from AZ for a week, and my little guy went back to pre-school. And I have no pictures of any of it. ha!

I could show you the new oven and the couch thats *supposed* to be here next week. Wanna see? OF COURSE you do!

My old oven was the one that probably came with the house when it was built. Total cheap, builder grade, boring oven. One day it decides not to light any more. Fab. It happened to be the same day my hubby ordered me this lovely (and rather pricey) couch for my birthday-

So my brother-in-law, who is rather knowlegable about appliance type things, says "no need for a new oven! replace the ignitor" (or something like that). So hubby scouts out ignitors, and finds it will cost almost $100. He decides its just not worth it to put a hundred dollar part in an oven that was less than $400 to begin with 11 years ago. So off we go to Home Depot to order a new one. A couple days later, this baby shows up at my house!
So there you have. The last month of my life in a nut-shell. Whats next? Who knows! My other kid goes back to school one of these days, I have a quick weekend out of town with some friends, annnnnnnnnnnnddddd... thats about all I have planned for now. Other than blogging more than once a month ;)
